INNOFOOD is a major infrastructure investment and R&D project, to establish research, laboratory and innovation facilities for supporting SMEs in the food and beverage sector in Turkiye. Through the INNOFOOD project, the National Food Innovation Platform (TUGIP) has been established with the mission of paving the way for the food sector to achieve greater goals by increasing its R&D and innovation capabilities for a sustainable future. TÜGİP offers holistic solutions from a single source with the approach of “collaboration and co-creation”. Together with TUGIP, a Food Innovation Center consisting of an advanced food safety laboratory and pilot facility, regional laboratories and systems have been established.
CATALYSADE, as a solution partner of Eurecna, contributed to the project by:
- developing the business model and business plan of the national Food Innovation Platform
- taking part in the need analysis study of food sector for six regions,
- taking part in the design of governance structure and development of Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda of the platform
- designing and implementing the Role Model Program involving the collaboration of SMEs, large scale enterprises and research providers within innovation projects
- carrying out 6 round tables with around 60 SMEs and in-depth interviews with 20 selected SMEs for improving innovation capabilities
- designing a financial plan integrating different kind of revenue streams for sustainability of the program
