CATALYSADE, as an expert institution, worked under an official contract with GOPA in the “Private Sector Development and Innovation in Egypt: Improvement and Modernisation of Technology Capacities within Industries and Service Providers” project from 2022 to 2024. The project focused on capacity building in technology service providers such as universities and technology institutes, business development units in Vocational Training Schools, industry, and business associations in Egypt.

As part of this initiative, CATALYSADE contributed to the development of training curricula for technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and contract research. Additionally, it provided coaching for Technology Transfer Offices, Incubators, and R&D & Design Centers; designed & delivered programs to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of engagement among quadruple helix actors and facilitate research to market practices. The project involved study visits between Turkiye and Egypt to foster knowledge exchange, practical learning and cross-sector collaboration. Egypt Japan University of Science & Technology (E-JUST), Nile University, and Zewail University were the universities that participated in the project. Together with national and international experts, Catalysade team designed and implemented a pilot voucher program to promote university-industry R&D and innovation collaboration.
